Sister Helen Prejean is the author of Dead Man Walking: An Eyewitness Account of the Death Penalty in the United States. The best-selling book was the basis for the Oscar-winning motion picture Dead Man Walking, starring Susan Sarandon and Sean Penn.

Sister Helen is one of our nation’s leading voices against capital punishment.
