Houston Peace and Justice Center Annual Awards Dinner

Event Description:

The Houston Peace and Justice Center is having their 3rd annual awards dinner.   They'll be honoring Bob Jensen, State Representative Garnet Coleman, Sissy Farenthold, and immigration rights activist Maria Jimenez.

National Peacemaker awardee and keynote speaker will be Bob Jensen, Professor of Journalism at UT-Austin. Through his teaching, guest lectures, editorial writing, and books, Jensen has become a prominent critical analyst of American political policy and social practice.

Reception with cash bar at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. at the UH Hilton Hotel.
