Doctors Without Borders invites you to visit A Refugee Camp in the Heart of the City, an outdoor educational exhibit staffed by Medicins Sans Frontieres (MSF) aid workers, who will help you imagine that you are one of the 33 million people who have fled conflict around the world.

Event Description:
The finale of Mahatma Gandhi Week - 2007 will be "1000 Lights For Peace" celebration at the Miller Outdoor Theater (Hermann Park) on Sunday, October 7, 2007 in the 5 to 7 in the evening. Mayor Bill White will be the Chief Guest. Keynote Speaker will be HISD Superintendent Dr. Abelardo Saavedra. Mark your calendar and come make your pledge for peace by lighting a candle at 1000 Lights For Peace.
